We’d order our food and sometimes wait for an hour or so to eat. On Koh Lipe, you really have to go with the flow otherwise you won’t be able to relax. Even with the boats and buses – it is truly organized chaos. Your bags are flying around, you’re trying to get on a boat while you feel your legs going into the splits because the boats are drifting… It’s crazy but fun. Sometimes we think that maybe it’s a bit much for the kids, but they pretty much always rise to the challenge. You have no choice here. We have had waiters that are about Maddux’s age. It just goes to show you that when people are challenged, pushed, their limits tested- that’s when the strength shines through. It’s a rush.

Man, the exhaust on these boats is unreal but they get you where you want to be relatively fast.

We were on a speedboat with people packed in like sardines! The boat guy played dance music the whole time but all you could hear/feel was the bass. I loved it! The motors were loud and stinky! It was worth the trip. Koh Lipe is amay-zay-zay! We love it here.

So we go to the pool in Hat Yai (which is really nice) and the kids are all ready to swim and this guy starts saying that the boys need to wear swim costumes not their board shirts- so we had to improvise. Reminds me of swimming at the Itzcovich’s all summer!!!

I don’t like shoes at all. Kids and I go barefoot everywhere. When I finally have to wear shoes again, I will be sad. 🙂

Jesse didn’t win the good seat lottery here. The vehicles are made for people on the shorter side. I have no problems sitting anywhere! Once we arrived in Hat Yai, the kids got their fingers stuck under a huge rock in the lobby. Just kidding! We discovered it was fake.
