Taking a cab in London
The Beatles’ Abbey Road album cover
We only had a few seconds to “recreate” the album cover photo that was originally taken on August 8, 1969. Our friend, Samuel, took the picture while cars were honking and many people were lined up waiting to do the same thing. Fun!

So many things happen for a reason- I love to see things unfold! My good friend, Samuel, who lives in London- had to travel to LA for work during the time we were planning to visit London. We extended our trip so we could see him when he returned from California. Around the same time, our good friends (the Bennett’s from California) contacted us to tell us they would be traveling to London at the end of June. If we hadn’t changed our plans because of Samuel’s work schedule, we wouldn’t have been able to see them. The timing was perfect! Life is good!
In these pictures, we are saying goodbye to them- or rather… “Until we meet again!!!” Love! Love! Love to the Bennett Family! Shine on!
Statues from The Parthenon at the British Museum
The statues are so beautiful and detailed. Even the backs of them are magnificent and when they were high up on buildings – no one saw them for years!
I don’t know why Samuel and I look so angry here. Jesse must have said something weird! π
George Washington in front of London’s National Gallery
George Washington supposedly wrote in his diary that he wished to never set foot on English soil. The Commonwealth of Virginia gave a bronze statue of George Washington to Britain which was placed in front of the National Gallery. Kind of odd- but weirder than that is they wanted to honor G.W.’s request to never step on English soil so they shipped a bunch of American dirt over with the statue so that President Washington would be standing firmly on US soil!
