The Belfry of Bruges

The belfry of Bruges, or Belfort, is a medieval bell in Brugge Belgium. The belfry formerly served as an observation post for spotting fires and other danger. 366 steps up a narrow, steep staircase leads to the top of the 83-metre-high building, which leans a little to the east. The boys went up the tower while I meandered around the town square. Good lord! When will the rain stop?!

I think that is the tower that the guy fell out of in the movie, In Bruges. Very dark comedy. Funny, if you like to see guys falling out of towers…

  2. Did you learn about the festival of the cats here?

    • Allie- no, we didn’t hear anything about the cats but I did look it up and it seems weird. 🙂 I’m more of a dog person. Can’t believe I’ll see you and your little chublet of a baby. Excited to see Sefan, too. Much fun will be had by all, my friend! Love!
