Maddux has killer eyesight, but when he said he was looking at a baby owl in the tree- I didn’t know if that was true or not. It was and he was pretty cool to watch. He was very interested in what we were up to, as well.
There were two types of monkeys up there- the langurs (nice) and the red face/red butt monkeys (not so nice.) In a different post, I told the story of how we were attacked by a group of monkeys- very funny after it was over. When we were walking down the hill a way, we heard a galloping sound from behind. A huge langur was on all fours running toward us. I swear he was my size. Jesse jumped back, slid and fell. I started laughing but choked on water in my mouth and spit it all over Emerson. Oh my gosh! It was an amazing day.

We saw an owl, a beautiful green bird, goats and monkeys!
The streets of Jaipur
Cows, pigs, goats, monkeys and chickens roam the streets freely. Kids (as young as three years old) are everywhere, too. Some try to sell us things- others want to work on on their English with us.
Views from a tower in the city of Jaipur
We took a bus from Delhi to India (took about 5-6 hours.) We kind of have certain routines on buses, trains, etc. Sometimes we do schoolwork, I download photos, we take naps. Sometimes trips are longer – we adjust.
Permission to speak to the King

If someone was granted permission to speak to the ruler at the Red Fort in Delhi- they would walk down the extremely long pathway to the throne. They would stand on the large marble slab to speak to him.
Sad- people sleep on the lawns outside of temples waiting for leftovers
On certain days, people bring offerings to the gods and goddesses. If they have food/drink left over, they will give it to the beggars out on the lawn.
Tickets, please!
In India, you have to do research on how to get things done. Men come running up to you telling you where to go, covering up signs, saying that you are in the wrong place, etc. You need to question everything- which isn’t bad once you get used to it, but it would be hard for me to live like this for an extended period of time. It can get exhausting!
